changing the state of a package and executing deployment workflows

I learned that aratools.jar is a deprecated tool in ARA version 12. In ARA 12, what is the recommended solution for changing the state of a package and executing deployment workflows when a package is in "deploying" state? Is the recommended solution for ARA 12 also available for ARA 5.1?

    You can use the Deployment Manager Action Pack instead of the aratools.jar. It is available on the marketplace

    @Robert Thullner & @Malik Abdul,

    Can you elaborate what do you mean by aratools.jar been deprecated in version 12?
    What are the limitations?

    We have gone through multiple updgrades in last 2 years from ARA v5.1(AE10) -> ARA v6 (AE11)-> ARA v7 (AEv12.0.2). Client OS Agents mostly remained on v10 through the upgrades.

    Most of the older ARA Workflows that we have still utilize v5.1 aratools.jar Actions.
    With newer workflows we started to utilize Actions from Deployment Manager Action Pack on Agents that at least v11.2 version.

    We are preparing for OS Agents upgrades to v12 in near future.
    Will the v5.1 aratools.jar Actions continue to work for us after v12 Agents upgrades?

    Thanks,

    @Vlad Navazhylau

    I think there are no limitation, but you should definitely test it.

    All new action packs (delivered through the marketplace) do not rely on aratools.jar anymore. Of course, if you continue using old actions in your workflows, you will still need to have aratools.jar on your agent. As this is "just" a java program which is executed within an action, I do not see any limitations of still using it.
