[Solved] Extract/Import Calendar Template

Heather WhiteHeather White Winnipeg, Manitoba, CanadaGuest Posts: 3
Hi. I am new to Dollar Universe and new to this forum. I hope I am posting this question in the right place.

I am trying to import a calendar template from a node in one company to the corresponding node in another company.

When I originally set up the TEMPLATE, I gave it a meaningful name, then it created the calendar "specific" on the node. It created the calendar with the node name (different from the template name).

Whenever I run the extract/insert commands via command line, the only thing that gets exported is the calendar that the template created.

Does anyone know how to export the actual template?
Cheers, Heather

    Welcome Heather!

Can you provide the export and import commands you have used and also the result of a "uxlst CAL"?

    Hi Kenny.

Thanks for the welcome and thanks for the tip.

When I ran the uxlst command, I noticed that the template had MODEL as the type. I ended up including the variable MODEL in the extract and import and it worked. This is not in the ORSYP documentation. I emailed the support team to let them know I had resolved the problem and that the documenation didn't include the MODEL variable.

    Hello Heather,

thank you for the feedback - and the good news.

I've just asked Dollar Access to open an internal ticket so we enhance the command manual by including the "model" qualifier for uxext and uxins commands.

That is great. It is only needed for templates though. Calendars extract/import without it. Still not sure if I am working this forum stuff the right way. Hope someone lets me know if I am goofing up here.

No Heather, you are not goofing up at all!
